NEW PET PANTRY PROCEDURES!
We’re excited to announce a new partnership between Highland Humane Society and Samaritan Outreach that will make getting food for your pets a little easier! This new setup also gives families more opportunities to schedule an appointment at a time that works for them.
Pet food and family food in one trip
Samaritan Outreach is a nonprofit food pantry serving low-income residents of Highland County. Going forward, they will also distribute pet food provided by Highland Humane Society. This means you can pick up food for your family AND your pets in one trip!
Highland Humane Society will continue to provide the pet food, but Samaritan Outreach will handle distribution. Each week, HHS will bag up pet food and deliver it to Samaritan Outreach, where Highland County residents can pick it up. Samaritan Outreach will determine how much food is distributed and will handle scheduling monthly appointments.
IMPORTANT
All Pet Pantry food pickups will take place through Samaritan Outreach.

You will need to contact Samaritan Outreach to get signed up and schedule your monthly appointment.
We believe this partnership will make things easier for the people and pets who need a little extra help.
