Thank you for considering the addition of a dog or puppy from the Highland Humane Society to your family. Our dogs are eagerly waiting to embark on a new journey with loving owners.
How to adopt
- Visit our dogs. We welcome you to visit our facility during business hours to meet our dogs and puppies. No application or appointment is needed.
- Choose your canine friend. Spend time with our dogs and select the one that's the perfect fit for your home.
Adoption fees
Adoption fees vary.
What's included in the adoption fee
- Spay or neuter surgery
- Microchip with lifetime membership
- Age-appropriate vaccinations (DAPP/Bordetella)
- Flea & tick preventative
- Dewormer
- Lyme & heartworm testing (where applicable)
- Heartworm preventative (while in the shelter)
Foster to adopt program
Take any dog 4 months and older home for a week to make sure it is a good fit before committing to adoption. Submit a foster application and, once approved, we can set them up for foster to adopt. We require a $100 deposit — put toward the adoption fee if you adopt, refunded if it isn't a good fit.
