HELP FEEDING YOUR PETS
Our Pet Pantry is open to those who need help feeding their own animals and those who are feeding community cats. We hand out food every week that we have food available to give.
Pantry information
Here's how the Pet Pantry works:
- The Pet Pantry is open to the public on Thursdays only, 12–5pm.
- You do have to sign up on your first visit.
- You will need to sign each time you receive food from us.
- You do have to reside in Highland County.
- You can receive food 2 times a month.
Our impact
In 2023, HHS distributed approximately 11,000 pounds of pet food to those in need. See more in our shelter statistics.
Struggling to keep a pet? Before considering surrender, talk to us — the pantry, our low-cost spay & neuter clinics and free vaccine clinics may be enough to keep your pet at home with you.
Want to stock the pantry? Pet food donations can be dropped off during open hours, or shop our wish list.
