GRANT-FUNDED SPAY/NEUTER FOR HIGHLAND COUNTY DOGS
The K9 Snip It Program is made possible through grants that support our Highland County community. It is for Highland County residents only.

The K9 Snip It Program and the Feline Fix It Fund are limited to Highland County residents. Our regular low-cost clinics are open to anyone in any county.
Pricing — 2026
For owned dogs and puppies 8 weeks and older whose owners are on government assistance:
- $50 for spay/neuter
- +$10 for rabies vaccine, unless a current certificate is provided or the puppy is younger than 4 months
Additional charges may apply: cryptorchid inguinal fee $65, cryptorchid abdominal fee $130. Additional charges must be paid at pickup with cash or card.
Availability
- Funding for 80 K9 Snip It appointments in 2026.
- Only 8 appointments scheduled per RASCAL clinic.
- Limit 1 appointment per household per clinic.
Government assistance documents accepted
One of the following must be shown at sign-up:
- Section 8 housing voucher
- Ohio Medicaid card
- Ohio Direction Card (SNAP / food stamps)
- Letter from Veterans Benefits Administration acknowledging a service-related disability
- WIC card
- Benefit letter for Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
- Benefit letter for Social Security Disability (SSDI)
Paperwork is required at time of sign-up.

Sign-ups take place only when we are actively scheduling for clinics. We post sign-up dates and details in our Facebook events (opens in a new window on an external site) for each clinic and on our shelter events page.
